Appointed by the Asian Aerosol Research Assembly (AARA), Chinese Association for Aerosol Research in Taiwan (CAART) organized the fifth Asian Aerosol Conference, AAC-2007, at Kaohsiung City in Taiwan. Conference dates were August 26 through 29, 2007.

The conference opened with the inaugural speech by Dr. Y. S. Mayya, President of AARA. Participants of the conference covered a wide ranging background including environmental, Industrial hygiene, chemical, materials, instrumental, meteorological related science and engineering from Industrial, academia, and government. The conference had activities such as plenary lectures, topical lectures, tutorial, welcome party, Award ceremony, and local tours.
